Lakeland Town House
We engaged Ally and her team at Fidget to design, refit and project manage the interior conversion of a Lakeland townhouse. it was purchased with interior decor, fixtures and fittings that did not suit our contemporary tastes. We also needed to completely furnish and equip it for our family’s needs.
Fidget were given the brief to manage everything associated with this project including :interior design concepts; selection of all fixtures, fittings and furniture; managing all installation, delivery, fitting, selection; management and payment of tradesmen and sub contractors.
Whilst our intention was to use as little as possible of our own time to achieve our goals, we are also control freaks and wanted financial, design and quality control inputs to satisfy ourselves that the project was done to our standards, tastes and budget. We also wanted to utilize local suppliers where possible and to inject a Lakeland feel and character in the property whilst making it as fresh, contemporary and comfortable as possible.
We are still not quite sure how Fidget managed to deliver such a fabulous result for us which exceeded our expectations, especially in terms of style, without us falling out or losing nights of sleep! But they did, and we would be delighted to offer references to anyone thinking of using their services. We would not hesitate to use them again if we were to attempt a similar, larger or smaller project.

I always like ideas that are unexpected, designs that surprise us, whilst keeping to the brief and are utterly practical. The showrooms, interiors and exhibition sets that Alison has created and project managed for me have always exceeded our expectations. She’s also great to work with too.
